Korean pop culture, in numbers

What to watch after a Korean show

We are not going to recommend anything. We have no idea what you like, and any site that tells you otherwise is guessing at it. What we have instead is a record of what was actually sitting next to each title on the list you saw it on.

Netflix publishes a weekly top 10 for each country. We took 16,408 country-weeks of it and counted, for every Korean title, which other Korean titles were on that same country’s list in that same week. So: after Squid Game, the title that shared the most lists with it was My Name — the two were on the same country’s top 10 in the same week 274 times. That is a fact about a published list, and it is the whole of what we are claiming.

What this number means, and what it does not. It means two titles appeared on one country’s published top 10 in the same week. It does not mean the same people watched both. It does not mean the two are similar — a horror series and a family romance can share a list all year. And it is not a ranking of what you should watch next. If a title sat beside another one often, that is mostly a fact about when they were released and how long each stayed, not about what they have in common.

Big numbers here mostly mean the title lasted. A show that held a country’s top 10 for a year will sit beside almost everything; a show that charted for one week in one country can sit beside at most nine other titles ever. So read the count next to the name, and read the “countries” and “weeks” columns with it. A small number is not a worse title. It is a shorter run.

The 24 titles that shared the most lists

Ordered by the total number of country-weeks the title spent beside any other Korean title. Each row shows the three it sat beside most often. Follow a title for its own full list.

The number in brackets is country-weeks shared — how many times the two were on one country’s Netflix top 10 in the same week.

Every title we could do this for

538 Korean titles out of the 546 we hold a page for had at least one other Korean title share a list with them. The rest charted alone every week they charted — in those countries, in those weeks, theirs was the only Korean title on the list. That is worth knowing too, and it is why we do not quietly drop them: a title with no neighbours is not a title that failed.

We only link to titles that have a page here, so a title’s real list of neighbours can be longer than what we show. Where we cut it, we cut at twelve.

What we wrote from this data

14 seconds, with sound

Fourteen seconds, read aloud: Squid Game and My Name were on the same country's Netflix top 10, in the same week, 274 times — and even that closest pair is only a tenth of all the country-weeks Squid Game shared with anything. This counts one published list. It is not a count of people, and Netflix releases no viewer data at all. Free to repost with the address on it.

All our short films — each one built from a table on this site

How this was measured

  • Source — Netflix Tudum weekly country top 10, file countries-2026-08-29.tsv
  • Rows — 501,040 read, 0 unreadable
  • Counted — Country-weeks in which two Korean titles were both in that country's top 10
  • Scope — 16,408 country-weeks contained at least one Korean title
  • Measured — 2026-08-30

What this cannot tell you

  • Not a recommendation — Co-appearance on a list is not similarity, and not a suggestion.
  • Not shared viewers — Netflix publishes no per-viewer data. We cannot tell who watched what.
  • Length dominates — Longer runs produce larger counts almost mechanically.
  • Korean titles only — We count a title as Korean only if it is in our own table of 974. Titles we do not hold are invisible here, even if they were on the same list.
  • Links are limited — We link only to titles with a page on this site.

The same count is what powers the neighbour list on each title page.
