Shared does not mean wrong. Most shared names are almost certainly the Korean work — a Korean series charting across Asia in the week it aired is not going to be a 1994 American film of the same name. Shared means the row on its own cannot prove it, and we would rather you knew which figures rest on an inference.

Ranked by chart places. Countries listed are every country Wikidata attaches to a work of that exact name.

The 41 where our figures may be wrong

For these, Wikidata lists no Korean work at all under the name. Either Wikidata is incomplete, or we have counted another country’s work as Korean. We publish the list rather than quietly dropping the rows, because dropping them would make our totals look cleaner than they are.

If you know which work any of these rows belongs to, tell us and it goes on corrections with the date. That is the whole mechanism: we are not able to resolve these from the data alone, and pretending otherwise would be the dishonest option.

Which countries our titles most often share a name with

This says nothing about either country’s output. English titles are short and reuse the same few hundred words, so the countries that make the most English-labelled work collide with everyone, Korea included.

Titles we hold but have not checked yet

These have a Wikidata entry keyed to them but no country check completed. They are counted as unmeasured on this page, not as Korean and not as foreign.

What this page cannot answer

• Which work actually charted, when two countries have a film or series with exactly the same English name. Netflix publishes a name and a rank, and nothing else — no year, no director, no country. That is the whole reason this page exists.
• What a title's country of production formally is. Wikidata's country of origin field takes co-producers and rights holders as well as the country a work was made in, so a name listed there is not a production credit.
• Anything about titles Wikidata has no entry for. Those are counted as unmeasured here, never as foreign and never as Korean.
