Thu Sep 24 — Across 2,372 Korean singers, rappers, composers and music groups, the top 24 (1%) account for 21.5% of a month's English Wikipedia reading. The bottom half — 1,186 names — account for 3.7%.
Tue Sep 08 — We cannot measure event economics and do not claim to. We can measure the shape of attention: in one month, 774 Korean acts drew 2.67 million English Wikipedia reads, 24 acts hold half of it, and the lower half of the list holds 3.1%.
Fri Sep 04 — We counted English Wikipedia readers for 2,372 Korean music acts over 30 days. The top 5% took 50.2% of all daily reading. Among groups alone the top 1% took 29.0%, against 19.2% among individuals.
Sun Aug 09 — Of 131 companies credited on the 345 Korean series that reached a Netflix country top 10, three account for half. Counting production credits alone — the answer to the obvious objection — it is 5 of 101, on a thinner base of 156 series.
Sat Aug 08 — One title takes 21.3% of all Korean viewing hours on Netflix; the biggest K-pop act takes 3.9% of English Wikipedia lookups. But half of all music attention sits on 4.5% of acts against 7.3% of titles on screen. No giant, steeper slope.
We hold 417 tags in all. 242 of them are on a single piece, and we do not publish a page for those — the tag still shows on the article, it just does not become an address of its own.
