Riize's 100-Million-Stream Day Was Their Quietest Wikipedia Day in a Month
SM Entertainment announced the milestone on 17 September — the second Riize song to pass 100 million Spotify streams. Riize's own English Wikipedia page drew 301 views that day, the lowest of the 30 days we checked.

SM Entertainment said on 17 September that Riize’s 2024 single “Love 119” had passed 100 million streams on Spotify — the second song by the six-member group to reach that mark, after “Get a Guitar.” The group marked the news at a fan meetup in Incheon held for their third anniversary.
We checked what the announcement did to how often people looked Riize up on English Wikipedia. It didn’t move the number up. It coincided with the lowest reading day in the 30-day window we checked.
Over the 29 days before the announcement (19 August-16 September), Riize’s English Wikipedia page averaged 411 views a day. On 17 September, the day of the streaming news, it drew 301 views — 0.73x average, and the single quietest day of the entire month we measured.
The busiest day in that same window was 29 August, at 947 views (2.30x baseline) — we found no news event naming Riize that day, so it stays in our record as unexplained rather than attached to any story.
Two Spotify milestones from two different acts landed on the same day this week — Jimin’s “Like Crazy” and Riize’s “Love 119.” Neither showed up as a rise in English Wikipedia reading. For Riize, the milestone day was, if anything, the quietest one we measured.

What we checked
- 30-day baseline (19 August-17 September 2026, excluding 17 September itself): Riize averaged 411 English Wikipedia views a day.
- 17 September, the day SM Entertainment announced the milestone: 301 views, 0.73x that baseline — and the single lowest day in our entire 30-day window.
- The highest day in our window, 29 August at 947 views (2.30x), came with no news event naming Riize that we could find — marked unexplained.
What we left out, and why
- Any claim the milestone is not real. SM Entertainment's own announcement is an independent source for the stream count — we are only reporting what English Wikipedia reading did that day, which was fall to its floor, not rise.
- Spotify's own stream count, which comes from Spotify's platform, not our measurement.
- 'Get a Guitar,' the first Riize song to reach 100 million streams — we did not check the reading around that earlier date, only the 17 September announcement about 'Love 119.'
