The Korea Corporate Reputation Institute’s monthly brand reputation ranking for September 2026 put girl group Re:Scene first among all K-pop groups — ahead of BTS in second place and BLACKPINK in third. Re:Scene’s individual members also took the top spots in the institute’s rookie-idol ranking, sweeping the top five places, according to STARNEWS.

We don’t reproduce that index’s score here — it’s a third-party measurement built from Korean-language media and community mentions, and we don’t redistribute numbers we haven’t verified ourselves. What we can measure is how often people looked Re:Scene up on English Wikipedia over the same period.

What we measured

We pulled daily English Wikipedia pageviews for Re:Scene and, as a reference point, for BTS — the group the reputation index placed just behind them — over the 29 days ending 17 September 2026.

29-day average Highest day Lowest day
Re:Scene 11 19 4
BTS 6,860 10,382 4,923

Re:Scene’s English Wikipedia readership averaged 11 views a day across the entire window. BTS, the group the reputation index ranked one place below Re:Scene, averaged 6,860 views a day — 624x that.

What this does and doesn’t show

A reputation index built for a Korean audience, from Korean-language sources, can be a real and accurate read of who a domestic audience is talking about most right now — a debut-era rookie group riding a wave of local media coverage can genuinely outscore a group with over a decade of global reach on that specific measure. That’s not a contradiction with our numbers; it’s a different question answered by a different instrument, pointed at a different readership.

What our count says is narrower: as of mid-September 2026, Re:Scene has not yet become a name that English-speaking readers look up in meaningful numbers. Whether that changes is not something a 29-day window can tell us.

What we checked

  • The Korea Corporate Reputation Institute's brand reputation index (a third-party score we do not reproduce here) placed Re:Scene first among K-pop groups for September 2026, with BTS second and BLACKPINK third. Re:Scene members also swept the top individual idol spots.
  • Over the 29 days we measured (20 August-17 September 2026), Re:Scene's English Wikipedia page averaged 11 views a day. The single highest day was 19 views; the lowest was 4.
  • BTS's English Wikipedia page averaged 6,860 views a day over the same window — about 624 times Re:Scene's average.

What we left out, and why

  • The brand reputation index's own methodology or score. We report only that the ranking exists and who topped it — the number itself is a third-party measurement we have not verified and do not redistribute.
  • Any claim that Re:Scene is less successful than the ranking suggests inside Korea. Reputation indices built from Korean-language media and community mentions can be entirely accurate for a domestic audience while an English-language readership measure shows something else.
  • A prediction about whether Re:Scene's English-language readership will grow. We report the 29-day window we measured, not a trend forecast.
