Hanwha Life Esports are still in the 2026 World Championship. They beat G2 Esports 2-0 at 08:00 Korea time on 31 October, an elimination match between two teams at 1-2, and move to 2-2. G2 leave the Swiss Stage at 1-3.

Hanwha Life had lost their second and third matches, to Gen.G and Invictus Gaming, after opening with a win over Top Esports. They are the fourth Korean team still standing; Dplus KIA, Gen.G and T1 are already through.

The two games, from Riot’s live stats

Bilibili Gaming, again

Hanwha Life’s last match of the Swiss Stage is against Bilibili Gaming at 08:00 KST on 1 November. The winner goes to the quarter-finals and the loser goes home.

Year Hanwha Life’s Swiss record Knocked out by
2024 3-1 Bilibili Gaming, 1-3, quarter-final
2025 3-1 Gen.G, 1-3, quarter-final
2026 2-2 so far —

Bilibili Gaming went on from that 2024 quarter-final to the final. They are at 2-2 this year after losing 1-2 to Top Esports on 30 October.

Where 1-2 teams have ended up

Twelve teams stood at 1-2 in 2024 and 2025. Three reached the quarter-finals, all of them at 3-2: Bilibili Gaming in 2024, who reached the final; Weibo Gaming in 2024, a semi-final; and T1 in 2025, who won the title. The other nine went home. Three teams that came back is a short list, not a trend, and it says nothing about who wins on 1 November.
