Sun Sep 13 — Two thresholds set by the data itself — 6+ weeks on a country's Netflix top 10, charting in only 1 country — catch 24 Korean titles. Three genuinely travelled abroad. The other 21 never charted anywhere but South Korea.
Sun Sep 13 — Across 12 Korean titles whose English Wikipedia pages spiked, the bigger the show's own peak, the smaller its lead actor's share of that peak — a correlation of -0.68 on a hand-picked dozen, not a random sample.
Sat Sep 05 — We counted daily English Wikipedia reads for every performer named in a K-drama casting story, 14 days before against 7 days after. Four held level, two were read less afterwards, none rose. Six is a small number and we report it as six.
Thu Sep 03 — Two Korean dramas were reported this week as topping Netflix's non-English chart. Counted country by country, Agent Kim Reactivated reached number one in 25 of the 81 countries that carried it, and never appeared on a US or UK chart.
Thu Aug 20 — Four Southeast Asian Wikipedias, four lists of Korean actors, three different names at the top. Byeon Woo-seok, Kim Seon-ho and Cha Eun-woo appear on every list — and not one of them is first anywhere.
We hold 319 tags in all. 180 of them are on a single piece, and we do not publish a page for those — the tag still shows on the article, it just does not become an address of its own.
