Dead-End Job, an eight-episode Netflix horror series, arrived on 30 October 2026. Lee Jae-wook plays Hyuk-jun, a man in debt who takes a part-time job paying about 50 times the usual wage; Go Min-si plays the investigator looking into the agency behind it. The series was created by Han Jun-hee and directed by Kim Da-min (Wikipedia; release date as reported by What’s on Netflix).
Netflix publishes a weekly top 10 for each of 93 countries. We matched every title in Lee Jae-wook’s English Wikipedia filmography against every list since July 2021, and kept lead and supporting roles apart from cameos.
His titles on Netflix’s country lists
| Title | Countries | Weeks on any list | Best position | Number 1 in |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alchemy of Souls (parts 1 and 2) | 45 | 45 | 1 | 8 countries |
| Dear Hongrang | 40 | 6 | 1 | 2 countries |
| Last Summer | 5 | 3 | 4 | — |
| The Battle of Jangsari (film) | 2 | 4 | 5 | — |
| Extraordinary You | 1 | 3 | 5 | — |
| When the Weather Is Fine | 1 | 2 | 10 | — |
Not on any list: Memories of the Alhambra, Search: WWW, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, The Impossible Heir and Doctor on the Edge.
The record splits in two. Alchemy of Souls and Dear Hongrang each reached about 40 countries or more; everything else reached five or fewer. Alchemy of Souls also lasted: it was on some country’s list in 45 different weeks, from June 2022 to April 2023, and on the global non-English TV list for 27 weeks. Dear Hongrang went wide at once, all 40 countries in a single week in May 2025, and was gone six weeks later.
The widest titles are cameos
| Cameo | Countries | Best position |
|---|---|---|
| Kill Boksoon (film) | 84 | 1 |
| Boyfriend on Demand | 47 | 2 |
His filmography lists both as cameos. We set them aside: a short appearance in a hit is not the same as carrying it. A page that credits Kill Boksoon’s 84 countries to Lee Jae-wook is counting someone else’s film.
Reading before the release
In the seven days to 29 October (UTC), the last day Wikimedia had published, the Lee Jae-wook article was read 9,182 times across 18 language editions. English was 4,675, almost exactly what it was two weeks earlier (0.97 times). Chinese (1,688) and Japanese (1,167) came next.
The Dead-End Job article moved first. Its English edition was read 6,295 times in the same seven days, 1.59 times the week two weeks before, with 1,502 reads on 29 October alone. Reading on release day itself was not yet published when we wrote.
What this does and does not say
Chart positions are not audiences, and these lists start in July 2021. They say where a title reached a country’s top 10, not how many people watched. None of this says how Dead-End Job will chart; the first Netflix week that can include it ends on 1 November.
Go Min-si’s own record is in a separate count. More Korean series, ranked by weeks and by countries, are on our Netflix chart page.

What we left out, and why
- Dead-End Job itself. The latest Netflix lists end on 18 October 2026, before its release; the first week that can include it ends on 1 November.
- Two other titles called Last Summer on the lists: a film that charted in Turkey in July 2021 and a film that charted in South Korea in July 2024. Neither is his series.
- A title called True Beauty that charted in 53 countries from February 2023: his role in the Korean series is a cameo, and we did not confirm the listing is that series. Not counted.
- Cameos: Kill Boksoon, Boyfriend on Demand, Move to Heaven, Kiss Sixth Sense and Death's Game. A cameo is not a lead's reach.
- Anything before July 2021, when Netflix began publishing country lists.
- Viewer numbers. A chart position is not an audience.
