If you search for The Perfect Lie this week you will find two different series.
- MBC’s The Perfect Lie is a Korean psychological thriller starring Yoo Yeon-seok and Seo Hyun-jin. It premieres on 30 October 2026 at 9:50 p.m. Korea time (Soompi).
- Netflix’s The Perfect Lie is a Dutch series, De Eetclub in the original, based on Saskia Noort’s novel. It launched worldwide on 10 September 2026 (What’s on Netflix).
The Netflix one is the hit. On Netflix’s weekly lists it reached 79 of 93 countries and was number 1 on the global non-English TV list in its first two weeks. A Korean drama that has not aired yet cannot have done that.

Its widest week was the second, when all 79 countries had it at once. By 18 October it was left in two, one of them the Netherlands, at number 5.

Together: Dr. Romantic season 1 charted in 8 countries, all in Asia: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
