Song Kang is looked up 3.3x more — 3 shows hit number one
His English Wikipedia page drew 4,613 opens yesterday against 1,411 a day the week before. My Demon, Sweet Home and Forecasting Love and Weather each hit number one somewhere — true of only 33 of the 389 actors we can measure.

Yesterday, Song Kang’s English Wikipedia page was opened 4,613 times. Across the seven days before it, the average was 1,411 a day. That is 3.3 times the rate, and it was the largest single-day move of any Korean name our sweep could check.
We do not know why. We looked at what we hold about him instead.
Three charting shows, three number ones

Every title he has that entered a Netflix country top 10 reached number one in at least one country. Between them the three took 911 chart places across 67 countries.
That record is uncommon without being unique. Of the 389 actors we hold at least three charting titles for, 33 — 8.5% — have a clean sheet like this. He is twenty-first among them by countries reached, which is the honest way to put it: a strong record inside a group of thirty-odd people, not a record nobody else has.
What “number one” is worth knowing about
A peak of one is a fact about a single country in a single week. My Demon reached it and stayed on charts for twenty weeks across sixty-six countries; Forecasting Love and Weather reached it too, in twenty-four countries. The same words describe both, and the two runs are not the same size. When you see “number one on Netflix” attached to a Korean drama, the country and the week are usually missing, and they are where most of the meaning lives.
What we could not check
Our sweep asked about 120 names across five Wikipedia editions. 538 of those requests came back rate-limited, not answered. Those names were not measured, and something bigger may be sitting among them. We are reporting the largest mover we could see, which is a different claim from the largest mover there was.

What we checked
- The spike day is compared against the seven days before it, which do not include it. Comparing a day against an average that contains it would flatten the rise.
- Only names above a floor of 80 opens a day are ranked by movement, so a page going from 3 opens to 30 does not top the list.
- The sweep that found this was incomplete: 538 of our queries came back 429 (rate limited), not 404. Those names were not checked, and a bigger mover may be sitting among them.
What we left out, and why
- Why. Wikipedia records no reason a page was opened. A new release, a rumour, an award and a piece of bad news are identical in this data, and we did not go looking for the cause.
- Popularity, viewers and streams. This counts encyclopaedia pages being opened.
- Titles outside Netflix's published country charts. Work that never entered a weekly top 10 is invisible here, so the count of three is a count of charting titles, not of his career.
